Hi there, I am a new writer here at Sega buffs, my user ID is Skies_of_gallia, but for short you can call me SOG. Or not, it’s cool either way.
Anyway, enough with the intro, so you all may have heard that our beloved software company sega earned themselves 2 guinness world records at this summer’s E3 expo. Well today as I was looking through some old books and I came across the guinness book of world records 2000 millennium edition, I began looking through the technology section and what did I see? you guessed it, a small bit about the sega dreamcast.
For the year 2000 (and for some years after some may argue) sega held the title for the world’s most advanced games console! Not too suprising as the dreamcast was the only 128bit machine out at the time, but it is still neat to see the folks at guinness gave credit where it was due!, Above is a photo I took of the book.

As you all know Sonic Colors is coming out for both the Wii and Nintendo DS later this year. So most of you are probably wondering what the DS version must look like right?
It’s a bit late on our part but here is a YouTube video taken from E3 that shows what some of the gameplay looks like.
I must admit I like it. Though it seems more like Sonic Rush 2.5 than anything else.

Sega just released another new trailer showing Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, though sadly it doesn’t show any real gameplay. Still there are some great choreographed scenes in this trailer!
Highlights of the video include.
- Kage throws ninja stars (Probably won’t make it in game)
- Taka and Jeffry have a heavy exchange of blows.
- Lau fights Lei Fei with his arms behind his back proving he’s a real bad ass.
- Vanessa counters El Blaze’s airborne attack.

Check out this video of Sonic Colors in action. I’m loving how the game is looking especially since it’s on the Wii.

Dan Gallardo a rep from Sega gives a short walkthrough of Vanquish at the Sega Booth.
Though to be honest he doesn’t seem to be to good at it. The game however looks very good and supposedly runs at a smooth 60fps which makes it all the more impressive.
